Ceremony This festival the prayer of bargad (banyan tree)by the married women she has to tie a thread(kaccha sut) 12 times around the banyan tree in one shot it should be not broken .The Cantaloupe is offered. Make 12 puri,pua AND 12 Chana.Yellow Mala
All the married indicator(Bindi,chudi,blouse,mehandi,bichia) are offered to bhagwan.
Alternate --In case if you do not have tree you can draw n a paper and then do the pooja .

Does it really work/Or it is a form of respect to 'worthy' husbands. In hot & humid summer, I feel it is often a torture for poor souls.
