Basic Dal/Lentil

Ingredients
1 cup dal-Moong/Arhar/chana/black masur/urd
1/4 tsp turmeric
1/4 tsp chilli
ATT -Salt
1/4 tsp coriender powder(Dhania)
2 and 1/2 cup water

Seasoning
1 tbsp -Ghee
1/2 tsp-Cumin seeds
1/2 tsp -Red chilli
2 tbsp -Finely Choped Coriender 
1 -Finely Choped Green chilli
1  -Whole Red chilli

Method
Mix all the ingredients in pressure cooker .Put on high heat
Garnish with coriender .

       Cooking time                         Seasoning (Ghee+cumin seed+red chilliPwder)        
  • Moong-1 vissel                      Whole  red chilli  
  • Arhar -2 vissel                     Onion,green chilli,tomato ,amchur(Mango power) 
  • Chana -3 vissel                     Onion,green chilli,tomato
  • Black Masur-3 v                   Onion,green chilli,tomato
  • Red Masur -2v                      Onion,green chilli
  • Urd 3 v                                  Onion,green chilli
Tips
  • Always Soak dal for 10 -30 min before making it. 
  • Rinse 3-4 times  
  • Seasoning  differs from dal to dal .
