Chole(chickpea curry )
Ingredients
2 cup Chickpea Soaked overnight or 6 hrs then boil
1 Medium size Onion finely chopped
1 Finely Chopped Green Chilli
Few Coriender leaves finely chopped
1/2 tsp cumin
1/2 tsp Red Chilli pwder
1/2 tsp Coriander pwder
1/2 tsp turmeric
1/2 tsp Salt
1/2 tsp Amchur pwder
Pinch Asfoetida
1 tbsp oil
1 tbsp oil
1 tsp Anardana pwder(pomegranate pwder)
Method
Soak chickpea wih water overnight or at least 6 hrs
Boil Chickpea with 2 tea bags in pressure cooker for 4 vissle.
Warm oil add cumin seed saute onion
Add spices and then add tomato puree
Again vissel 2 .
Add Anardaa pwder and amchur
Garnish with coriander
Tip
You can make the masala separately again vissel it in cooker .
Adding tea bag or making potli of tea leaves give black color to chickpea.
Spice in chola depends on the serving choice like with batura/ allo tikki its good to make it spicy .
Always keep little boiled chickpea to balance the spice .
